Fertility Herb Natural

Remedies

There is a fertility herb natural remedy for almost each of the causes of minor infertility. Fertility can be enhanced and some infertility cured by the use of certain herbs. A note of advice: Always seek the advice of your healthcare provider or herbalist before taking any herbs or supplements. Especially seek the advice of your physician if you are on any prescriptions.

These herbs are the most popular for enhancing fertility:

  • Alfalfa, Black Haw, Cayenne, Cramp Bark, Ginseng, Lady’s Mantle, Licorice, Loveage, Motherwort, Nettle, Red Clover, Rehmannia, Saw Palmetto, Siberian Gingseng, Squaw Vine, True Unicorn Root, Valerian, and White Peony are all considered "general" reproductive tonics.

  • Black Cohosh is an antispasmodic which relieves cramping. Take this herb the first half of the cycle from menstruation to ovulation.

  • Dong Quai is a female hormone regulator. It helps to tone the uterus. When taking this herb be sure to check the label and with your healthcare provider to find out the best dosage and time.

  • Evening Primrose Oil helps to increase fertile quality cervical fluid. It also contains essential fatty acids which are very important for the brain. This herb should be taken from menstruation to ovulation because it causes the uterus to contract. It can also be used as a natural labor inducer. You can replace this with Flax Seed Oil after ovulation to continue with the essential fatty acids.

  • False Unicorn helps to alleviate ovarian pain. Many herbalists agree this is a good herb when dealing with female infertility and it’s also “prescribed” for male impotence too.

  • Red Raspberry Leaf is probably the most highly recommended herb to use for fertility and pregnancy. It helps to strengthen the uterine lining and tones the uterus. It’s advised to take in the last trimester of pregnancy to prepare the body for childbirth.

  • Vitex or Chastetree Berry is known as the female herb. It’s a hormone regulator and helps to enhance fertility – and also alleviates PMS.

  • Wild Yam Root is said to help ease ovarian and uterine pain associated with the menstrual cycle. The progesterone in wild yam root has not been proven to be easily assimilated by the body. It’s better to use a natural progesterone cream, which contains progesterone “processed” from wild yam root – and resembles our how progesterone made by our body.

Fertility herb natural remedies come in different forms – capsules, tablets and tinctures. Check at your local health food store for brands –and choose one that is reputable and pure. Check with your healthcare provider for dosage and recommendations. You don’t need to take all the herbs at one time. They can help you pick and choose the right ones that will best benefit you. Also remember the importance of a good prenatal vitamin. Some prenatals come with herbs, especially if you check with your local health food store. Choose wisely and be healthy!
