Aspirin Therapy
How to Improve Fertility with Low Dose Aspirin
Aspirin therapy (81 mg per tablet per day) is one of the very beneficial ways to increase fertility especially if there is a fertility problem present.
Aspirin
benefits much more than fertility, it helps the cardiovascular system because of the anticoagulative and
nonclotting properties. It helps to alleviate pain and reduces fever. Heart patients take an aspirin a day
to ward off heart attacks.
Note: If you
are allergic to aspirin or have gastrointestinal problems or blood clotting issues you may not take it.
Always seek the advice of your health care provider before taking any new medications.
Consider the benefits of aspirin, especially if you've ever had a miscarriage. Even if you
haven't had a miscarriage, aspirin could be helpful in preventing one.
Possible causes of
miscarriages are a poorly lined uterus and/or from the presence of antiphospholipid antibodies. These
antibodies are proteins which appear to be related to coagulation problems. This causes recurrent fetal
loss. This can happen when there is an interruption in the placental blood flow due to clots. The
aspirin reduces the risks of those blood clots and helps to improve fertility after miscarriage.
With issues with the uterine lining aspirin can help with the blood
flow to the ovaries and uterus. This has not been fully researched and proven, but taking a low-dose
aspirin a day can't hurt if your healthcare provider says it's okay to take. It just stands to reason
that if the aspirin helps with the blood flow to the heart - it will help with the blood flow to the
reproductive organs too.
