Good, now that that's done and out of the way and I can tell you about me. Who I am and what I do.

I am a 43 year old mother of 6, married to my sweetie for over 15 years. Our children are currently ages 1 to 14 years old. I started studying about human reproduction back in August 1994 before I conceived my first baby. One of my best friends was a nursing major and I borrowed her obstetrics book. That's when my passion to learn all I could about fertility and pregnancy began.

In July 1995 I gave birth to my first baby, a son, at 35 weeks along at age 28. In April 1997 I experienced my first miscarriage which happened the cycle after I stopped taking birth control pills. In December 1997 I gave birth to my 2nd baby, my daughter at 36 weeks delivered via cesarean.

I finally conceived and gave birth to my third baby - a daughter in October 2000. My pregnancy was plagued with gestational diabetes and preterm labor. Again, the preterm labor was from the same reason I had the miscarriage and the same reason I gave birth to my first 2 prematurely. (This was the time I gained most of my knowledge about Stages-in-pregnancy)

In September 2002 I gave birth to my 4th baby, a daughter 2 days past her due date. I suffered a 2nd miscarriage in February 2005. And in May 2006 I gave birth to my 5th baby, a daughter - at 37 weeks. So that makes 5 beautiful healthy babies.

It was my journey in conceiving baby number 3 that led me down the path of reading everything I could about fertility and pregnancy. I wanted to understand why I had suffered a miscarriage and why I was having so much trouble conceiving again. I discovered I had secondary infertility.

I interviewed doctors, nurses, midwives, herbalists, and many other women on this same journey to motherhood. I read many books, magazines and websites on the subject as well. I began to write and write and write about my personal experiences and the things I learned.

I ended up writing 2 books, one on fertility the other on pregnancy. I started several websites, and spent several years in fertility and baby retail. And now, I'm back to writing again. :)

I hope you enjoy reading this Stages-in-pregnancy page and the entire site and I hope you have a healthy and happy pregnancy!
